I’ve always considered myself to be an artist. No doubt genes are involved; my mother taught in the art department of a Chicago women’s college for more than thirty years. I earned a BFA in visual arts degree in 1973 from Mundelein College, Chicago, including undergraduate studio courses taken at St. John’s/St. Benedict's in Collegeville and St. Joseph, Minnesota.

Over the years I have enjoyed drawing using a variety of approaches and thematic content.  My work has been shown in diverse venues including galleries, juried and invitational shows, restaurants and night clubs, university and church galleries, and is represented in corporate and private collections.

Retirement allows me the luxury of time to photograph art subjects and transform them into drawings. In addition to art making, my passions include the lives and activities of family and friends, restorative justice peacemaking circles, spiritual growth through energy work, our lake cabin in the woods, biking, cooking, and reading. I live with my beloved in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
