There is a rocky shoreline on the northeast coast of the island of Hawaii known as the Mermaid Ponds. Small pools, where some swim, sit among rugged lava rock breakers. The tide comes in no holds barred and the landscape transforms.These drawings, produced during COVID, reflect on how quickly and dramatically reality can shift.
